Finding Strength in Community: Women’s Recovery at True Recovery RVA

Recovery is not a journey meant to be taken alone. At True Recovery RVA, the Women’s ASAM 3.1 Residential Program offers a structured, stable place for women to heal, rebuild, and move forward with confidence. This level of care, known as Clinically Managed Low-Intensity Residential Services, is designed for women in early recovery who need support, routine, guidance, and a safe environment to stabilize and grow.

For many women, this program becomes a turning point. It is a chance to step away from the stressors and triggers of daily life and into a setting built around healing and connection. Here is what makes the Women’s 3.1 Program a meaningful part of the recovery path.

Safe Housing and 24/7 Support

Women in the program live in gender-specific recovery homes where accountability, structure, and community are the foundation. Certified Peer Recovery Specialists are on-site around the clock to offer support, encouragement, and guidance. Their lived experience helps residents feel understood and supported, especially during tough moments in early recovery.

Clinical Services That Build Long-Term Skills

True Recovery RVA provides clinical services that help women stabilize their symptoms and build the skills needed for long-lasting sobriety. These services include relapse prevention, emotional regulation, coping strategies, and developing positive social networks. The focus is not only on stopping substance use but on building a meaningful life in recovery.

Case Management and Court Advocacy

Women in the ASAM 3.1 program receive comprehensive case management support that helps them navigate real-life challenges. This includes coordinating care with outpatient providers, connecting with community resources, advocating in court settings, and addressing barriers like employment, legal concerns, and transportation. The goal is to support recovery from all angles.

A MAT-Friendly Environment

Medication-Assisted Treatment is an important tool for many individuals in recovery. True Recovery RVA fully supports MAT and provides the structure needed for safe medication storage, scheduling, and accountability. Staff work closely with providers to ensure medication is used effectively and in alignment with each woman's treatment plan.
